Pure Epsom Salt had been used for hundreds of years to soothe muscle aches and pains, and tired feet, and to hydrate and soften the skin. On the skin, it can act as a great rejuvenator and even an exfoliator. For best exfoliation results on the skin, add some of our Soothing Touch Bath, Body, and Massage Oil to some Epsom Salt and gently rub it into the skin. Or, you can just soak in a tub and enjoy.
EPSOM SALT was discovered in a small, rural town named Epsom just outside London, England in the 17th century, hence the name Epsom Salt. The bitter, saline waters of that local spring were discovered to contain magnesium sulfate.
Epsom Salts's healthful benefits are still extolled.
